Kohli on a roll

Virat Kohli is currently ranked #3 in the ICC's ODI ranking for batsmen but if he keeps up his current purple patch for much longer, he'll be into pole position soon enough. In the last 12 months (amongst players who've batted at least 10 times), he has scored nearly 150 runs more than his nearest rival (in eight fewer visits to the crease) and at an average bettered only by his skipper who bats lower down the order (and has therefore stayed unbeaten three times as often as Kohli). He has also scored 7 hundreds which is more than twice anyone else on that list. And he's just 23 years old. Long may it continue. The under-19 captain has shown he can deal with the men's game too and if he can translate even some of this to the Test match arena, India will have found their next batting rock.
